Over 50 of the 140 membership attended the first Annual General Meeting of the Association in the Village Hall on Wednesday 22 nd February and 38 apologies were received. The incumbent officers were re-elected for the forthcoming year. Bill Warriner was appointed Press Officer; to be assisted by Louise Felton, and Carole Hislop took on the role of Membership Secretary.The Chairman thanked the Officers and other members who had attended many meetings to help formulate strategy and plan action and added his thanks to all the members for their support and encouragement throughout the year. After the formalities of the AGM an ordinary meeting was held at which a variety of topics were discussed, including The School; The Parish Plan; The Village Fete and Parish Council Elections. The role of the FVA for the future was discussed and a consensus was reached: to establish The Association as a worthwhile and valued organisation within the community of the Parish and to support projects and aspects of village life, always keeping in mind the main objective of the Association to Preserve the Ambience and Beauty of Chaddesley Corbett Village. New members will always be welcome and anyone interested in joining, or learning more about this Association, which has the interests of The Village at the heart of its constitution, should contact Carole Hislop (777493), or any of the Officers: David Hislop, Ken Bartlett, Terry Powick and Jan Fox.
